George Jarkesy Welcomes the President of St. Vincent de Paul Society, Shelia Gilbert to the Show
Shelia Gilbert, the first female National President of the St. Vincent de Paul organization appeared as a guest on The George Jarkesy Show to give a brief overview of what the organization does.
The George Jarkesy Show welcomed special guest Shelia Gilbert, the first female National President of St. Vincent de Paul Society to the show to talk about the “largest social assistance organization in the world.” Jarkesy first asked Gilbert about the membership of the charity. Gilbert replied that there are “130,000 to 140,000 [members] and a lot of volunteers” which work to make the organization function. Adding to that Gilbert stated that St. Vincent de Paul is “locally, nationally, and internationally active” in helping out people who need assistance.
Jarkesy then inquired about a service that St. Vincent de Paul offers that the call a “home visit.” Gilbert described this to be a service that the organization offers in which a person who needs assistance “[calls] a contact number” to receive a “home visit.” During this visit “two…members will come out to the home and discuss what the need is” of the household. The George Jarkesy Show welcomed special guest Congresswoman Nan Hayworth to talk about President Barack Obama’s upcoming economic speech.
Unites States Congresswoman Nan Hayworth of New York joined The George Jarkesy Show to talk about President Obama’s approach to the American economy and business. Jarkesy began by asking what Congresswoman Hayworth believed Obama would talk about in his upcoming speech regarding the economy. She began by stating that Obama “extolls the value of growth” however “when it comes down to…how we’re going to do that…every policy…he recommends will tamper growth.” Hayworth stated further that “we need government to do things responsibly” however “it is not the engine of growth” reinforcing her belief that Obama “doesn’t understand…where the real engine of growth is.”

Edward Klein, author of the NY Times Bestselling book ‘The Amateur’ joined The George Jarkesy Show to talk about his book and the implications it makes about President Barack Obama.
The George Jarkesy Show welcomed special guest Edward Klein, author of the #1 NY Times Bestseller, ‘The Amateur’, a book about Barack Obama’s lack of skill as a President. Jarkesy began by asking Klein the origin of the books title. Klein replied that during a meeting, Bill Clinton described Obama to be an “amateur” stating, “The people around Barack Obama don’t have a clue what they’re doing.” In “The Amateur” Clinton adds “they don’t understand how the real world works.”
